This position will require access to ITAR and/or EAR controlled technical data, technology or source code, and requires that all individuals in this role be authorized to access such information

General Description:

The Facilities Intern is responsible for the support of engineering projects implemented by or assigned to the Facilities and Maintenance Team. The position will assist with projects which enhance the performance of the site utilities and maintenance systems. The intern will become knowledgeable of methods and processes associated with the Facilities department as well as various operating, engineering, and quality assurance systems. The intern will be provided the opportunity to work engineering solutions. 

 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Facilities and Maintenance support
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Student at an accredited college or university for a Bachelor of Science degree in one of the following areas: Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Capable of quick response times
  • Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

    Specific Tasks and Focus Areas:

    • Targeted Projects support
      • Completing the implementation of the CMMS, which includes populating the asset base and M&R Stores inventory
      • Comprehensive study of the status of the site utilities and recommendations to upgrade as needed to support current and future requirements; justify & execute the recommendations
    • Process and Project Engineering support
      • Assist with the completion of projects assigned
