Description

AMHC is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and collaborative Mobile Crisis Services Manager to lead the operations and delivery of our mobile crisis intervention services in Hancock and Washington Counties.

This position provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting individuals experiencing behavioral health crises while leading a dedicated team of crisis professionals.

The Mobile Crisis Services Manager oversees a team of Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician–Crisis Service Providers (MHRT-CSPs) and works closely with the Crisis Peer Support Supervisor and Mobile Crisis Services Clinical Supervisors to promote an integrated, team-based approach to crisis response.

This role combines staff supervision, program management, community collaboration, quality improvement, and crisis-service leadership.

What You'll Do
  • Provide supervision, coaching, and support to assigned MHRT-CSP staff, including individual and group supervision.
  • Monitor staff performance, professional standards, credentials, documentation, and compliance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and address performance concerns in collaboration with program leadership and Human Resources.
  • Partner with the Crisis Peer Support Supervisor to promote strong team cohesion and effective collaboration between clinical and peer-support staff.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding efforts in collaboration with the Program Director and Human Resources.
  • Help ensure consistent, high-quality crisis services across the organization.
  • Promote integration of clinical and peer services through a collaborative, team-based approach.
  • Lead the collection and coordination of monthly program performance data and reporting in collaboration with Information Technology and direct-service staff.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments, community organizations, law enforcement, and other external partners.
  • Represent AMHC's Mobile Crisis Program with community and organizational partners.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain community partnerships and Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs).
  • Assist leadership in assessing community service needs and identifying opportunities to strengthen mental health, peer support, substance use, prevention, and related services.
  • Lead and support MHRT-CSP certification training for AMHC staff.
  • Provide postvention support and follow-up following suicide deaths, fatalities, critical incidents, or other traumatic events, including support for staff, partners, individuals, and affected groups.
  • Participate in co-response initiatives and complete required law-enforcement-related training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For

We are looking for a leader who is compassionate, dependable, adaptable, and committed to high-quality behavioral health services. The ideal candidate will have strong supervisory and communication skills, the ability to remain calm in crisis situations, and a passion for building collaborative relationships within the community.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel throughout the service area.
  • Must be able to complete all required co-response law enforcement training identified by the contracted law enforcement entity.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, identities, abilities, and experiences.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with agency policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Flexibility to meet the needs of a 24/7 crisis-service environment.
Schedule & Work Environment
  • This is a nonexempt position with a schedule that may vary based on the needs of the Mobile Crisis Team.
  • Employees must be available to work weekends, evenings, awake overnights, and holidays as needed.
  • Due to the unpredictable nature of crisis services, occasional schedule changes, extended shifts, or coverage during normally scheduled time off may be necessary.
  • Overtime compensation is provided in accordance with AMHC policies and applicable law.
  • The position works in a variety of environments, including office, community, and crisis-response settings, and requires travel throughout the service area.
Why AMHC?

At AMHC, you’ll have the opportunity to lead a team that supports people during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
