Principal Project/Program Manager

Location: Durham, North Carolina (Partial Remote)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Principal Project/Program Manager to plan, develop, implement, and manage multiple or large, complex programs at an enterprise level. This role involves coordinating interdepartmental functions to minimize delays and working with team members to review deliverables and meet deadlines. The position requires a strategic approach to program development, execution, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, implement, and manage multiple or large, complex programs on an enterprise level.
  • Develop program strategy, supporting business cases, and high-level plans to guide detailed planning.
  • Lead the program management team in establishing direction, identifying interdependencies, and communicating requirements.
  • Direct and coordinate activities concerned with the implementation and execution of program objectives.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics for programs, including process, outcomes, and financial measures.
  • Monitor all program project executions, progress to plan, and production of major deliverables.
  • Direct the development and maintenance of plans to identify, quantify, and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and manage budgets to control expenditures in accordance with budget allocations.
  • Ensure that programs meet appropriate regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Manage vendor relationships and monitor program contracts to ensure service level agreements are met.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree or an advanced degree is required. In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of experience in a related field will be considered.
  • Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in a related field is required.
