Systems Integration Engineer

The Opportunity:

Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering a customer focused engineering solution. As a system integrator on our team, you will work with Booz Allen colleagues to develop and deploy the next generation of Environmental Monitoring (EM) capabilities to deliver critical information to our warfighters. Your client will trust you to develop and execute system integration plans for space and ground systems. You will lead and support integration activities at the system of systems, system, segment, and element level. You will grow your skills by researching new requirements, technologies, and threats and using innovative integration methodologies and tools to integrate remote sensing systems to deliver warfighter capabilities.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience performing systems engineering, integration, and testing for space-related Major Defense Acquisition Programs

  • Experience working on satellite programs

  • Experience with requirements development or verification

  • Experience with interface control document development or governance

  • Knowledge of a program's critical path and how to offer solutions for schedule, cost, and risk issues

  • Knowledge of cost, schedule, risk, EVM, technical performance measures, technical specifications, and test reports from multiple contractors

  • Knowledge of government contracts and reporting systems to extract data and analyze future performance trends

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience performing systems engineering, integration, and test on space-based remote sensing systems

  • Experience with Space Based Environmental Monitoring

  • Experience in the Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR), Microware Imaging, defense weather, and tactical ISR mission areas

  • Experience with Remote Sensing payloads, space-based weather payloads, satellite busses, and satellite subsystems, including propulsion, thermal control, power, attitude control, TT&C, communications, data processing, and structure

  • Knowledge of DoD 5000.01/02

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science

  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certifications, including ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP Certification

  • DAWIA Level III Program Manager or Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) Program Management Level III Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
