Salary range: $90,000 - $100,000

Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating research and quality programs across SCCM's Discovery initiatives, the Critical Care Research Network, and related quality programs. This role supports program strategy, implementation, project oversight, research operations, stakeholder coordination, and dissemination activities to advance organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
I. Program Management
  • Support program strategy, program management, implementation, and ongoing coordination for research and quality programs
  • Track and maintain oversight of Discovery projects and programs
  • Provide administrative coordination and oversight for Discovery Workgroups, including meeting scheduling, agenda development, documentation management, communications, and tracking of workgroup activities and deliverables
  • Engage with technical communities and technical groups in product development and implementation aligned with approved business plans
  • Plan, develop, and maintain documentation that supports research and quality functions and aligns with SCCM policies and strategic priorities
  • Keep principal investigators informed of project status, budgets, reports, and other matters related to assigned projects and programs
  • Support site or member recruitment, project design, and dissemination of findings for projects and programs
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings, conference calls, agendas, minutes, and presentations for multiple projects and studies
  • Manage project documentation, including conflict of interest records, data use agreements, required forms for research studies, and manuscript submissions
  • Support healthcare data interpretation and presentation development
  • Serve as staff liaison to assigned volunteer committees, subcommittees, and task forces

II. Research Operations
  • Provide coordination and administrative support for the Discovery Data Coordinating Center and Clinical Coordinating Center
  • Support the online learning portfolio as needed
  • Interface with foundation, industry, and government funding agencies regarding research and clinical quality improvement proposals
  • Collaborate with research and quality staff to implement activities related to the Discovery Data Coordinating Center and Clinical Coordinating Center
  • Work with multiple levels of leadership, staff, and external entities regarding grant-funded projects
  • Support proposal development, submission timelines, and required documentation for grant applications
  • Provide administrative and operational support for research and programmatic grant activities
  • Identify funding opportunities and assist investigators or leadership with strategic planning for future submissions

III. Other Functions as Required to Carry Out SCCM's Mission and Goals
  • Assist with SCCM annual Congress and other events and meetings as assigned
  • Support research and quality staff on special projects or initiatives as needed

Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field required; master's degree or higher preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical or scientific research and/or quality improvement experience, including research or quality improvement project management
  • Experience supporting grant application and proposal development
  • Current knowledge of best practices in clinical research and familiarity with funding agencies such as NIH, AHRQ, PCORI, and others
  • Program or project management certification preferred
