The IT Business Analyst - AI is responsible for analyzing business needs and translating them into technology and AI-driven solutions. This role serves as a bridge between business stakeholders, IT teams, and data/AI teams to ensure successful design, implementation, and optimization of systems and analytics initiatives.

The position plays a key role in identifying opportunities to leverage data, automation, and artificial intelligence to improve operational efficiency, decision-making, and overall organizational performance in a regulated healthcare environment.

Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
  • Partner with business leaders, clinical teams, and operations to understand needs and challenges
  • Gather, document, and validate business and system requirements
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
  • Ensure solutions align with organizational priorities and workflows
AI & Data-Driven Initiatives
  • Support identification and prioritization of AI use cases (e.g., automation, analytics, reporting)
  • Collaborate with data teams to define data requirements for AI and analytics solutions
  • Assist in evaluating model outputs and ensuring alignment with business needs
  • Support adoption of AI tools within operational and clinical workflows
IT Systems & Integration
  • Analyze current systems, processes, and data flows to identify improvement opportunities
  • Support system implementation, upgrades, and integrations
  • Work with IT teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise architecture
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Serve as liaison between business units, IT, data teams, and vendors

  • Ensure solutions meet data governance, privacy, and regulatory standards

Reporting & Insights
  • Develop and support reporting tools, dashboards, and business intelligence outputs
  • Analyze data trends and provide insights to support decision-making
  • Monitor key performance indicators for IT and AI initiatives
Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency
  • Recommend improvements to business processes using technology and automation
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across departments
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Data Analytics, or related field (required)
  • Master's degree (preferred)
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis within IT environments
  • Experience supporting data analytics, reporting, or AI-related projects
  • Experience in healthcare or regulated industry (preferred)
Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and process mapping
  • Familiarity with data analytics, reporting tools, and dashboards
  • Basic understanding of AI and machine learning concepts
