Why Intern With WINGS?
• Direct work with adults, children, and families experiencing domestic violence or homelessness
• Trauma-informed practice and safety-planning skills
• Weekly supervision (1-2 hours individual; 1.5 hours group in some settings)
What You'll Do
• Assessments and intakes
• Case management support
• Individual and group counseling
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Participation in department and team meetings

Requirements
Internship Requirements
(Completed/submitted after internship offer)
• 40-Hour Domestic Violence Training (provided by WINGS; counts toward hours for 340+ hour students)
• School liability insurance
• Criminal background check
• DCFS background check
• Two letters of recommendation
• Unofficial transcripts
• 12-25 hours/week including 1-2 evenings, possible weekend availability
• Undergraduate or graduate students in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field

Chicago and the Northwest Suburbs
(placement determined by skill level and program needs)
