Reportingdirectly to the Managing Director and World Bank Group Chief AdministrationOfficer (MDCAO), Global Corporate Solutions (GCS) brings together the functionsof Corporate Security, Corporate Real Estate, and Corporate Services (such asfood services, printing, travel, conferences, and translation andinterpretation).

GCS's Corporate Real Estate (GCSCR) division plays a crucial role in supportingIBRD, IDA, IFC, MIGA, and ICSID by developing and operating their real estatedemands worldwide. GCSCR's primary purpose is to create safe, cost effective,sustainable, and functional real estate solutions, enabling business units toperform their work program in line with the WBG's mission to create a worldfree of poverty on a livable planet.

To achieve its purpose, GCSCR led by the Senior Manager, is structured intothree divisions: (i) HQ Real Estate Development and Management (GCSHQ), whichcovers facilities based in Washington, DC, (ii) International Real Estate(GCSIR), responsible for facilities located overseas, and (iii) Corporate RealEstate,  Center of Excellence (CoE) which serves as a central hubof expertise driving operational excellence, enhancing efficiency, and ensuringthe successful execution of initiatives. 

GCSCR is comprised of approximately 100 staff, leverages over 500 contractors,and manages an annual facilities capital investment plan of about 150 millionglobally. GCSCR works closely with the Regions on the Bank's more than 190locations. 

Duties and Responsibilities

This position falls within the Center of Excellence(CoE) under the subject matter expertise of Construction and ProjectManagement. Duties include:

Technology and Tools:

Assist in the implementation, adoption, and ongoing optimization of project management systems, financial tools, and reporting solutions.

Prepare templates to be used for the adoption of systems and tools.

Assist to develop, maintain, and disseminate standard operating procedures, templates, tools, and best practices to support consistent and efficient project and portfolio execution.

Assist with training project teams in the effective use of PMO tools and systems to enhance visibility, collaboration, and governance.

Communicate and collaborate effectively across functions, levels, and geographic locations, engaging internal and external stakeholders including the Center of Excellence and project managers.

Global Procurement

Assist in the creation, justification, publication, evaluation and selection of vendors that are globally procured to support real estate initiatives.

Review and analyze various contract vehicles for the procurement of general contracting services, design, and consultant services for design-build and design-bid-build.

Standards

Assist in the creation and update of methodologies, and lifecycle standards to guide project managers and teams in the successful delivery of real estate projects.

Help create and train real estate team onconstruction reference guides.
