What you'll do

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Manager to join our dynamic government team in Carlsbad, CA, Tempe, AZ of Reston VA! This is a hybrid, site-based role that offers the perfect blend of office collaboration and remote flexibility. Employees will work from our office location at least 3 days (60%) per week within a standard five-day workweek, with the remaining days worked remotely.

As a Sr. Finance Manager within our Government Segment, you will play a significant role by providing financial management for a business area that drives over $250M/year in revenue. Your experience and understanding of critical metrics related to awards, sales, products, services, profit, EBITDA, headcount, & inventory will enable you to manage programs and product development efforts.   Use your systems skills to continuously develop tools that drive common approach and efficiencies.  You will work across our multifaceted financial team, support monthly rolling forecasts and cost/profit analysis. The Finance Manager is empowered to drive operational modernization to improve team skills, tools and the organization's capabilities!


The day-to-day
  • Act as business and finance manager to a technical management team while participating in a larger finance organization.  Reports to Director of Finance.
  • Build and maintain financial reporting packages on a monthly/quarterly basis for senior leadership.
  • Proactively partner with key stakeholders to deliver insightful financial and business analysis, highlighting business issues and driving financial discipline across the organization.
  • Provide accurate, informative, and well-formatted financial information for decision-making.
  • Develop complex business case analyses (products and services) to ensure optimal return on invested capital and to drive responsible cash management.
  • Continuously identify, mitigate, and manage business risk.
  • Expand your skillsets and take on other responsibilities as our organization continues to grow and evolve, using process improvement and automation.
  • Lead a team of financial analysts.

What you'll need
  • 10+ years of Finance Experience with mix of Program Finance, P&L Finance and FP&A.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related area.
  • Advanced excel skills including ability to summarize large data sets via formulas/tables/graphs.
  • Experience in full profit & loss statement, balance sheet, cash management.
  • Experience building complex financial models which include but are not limited to: multiple direct / indirect rates, multiple elements of cost, time-phased actuals / forecast, etc.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment and programs for both products and services.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to drive performance and be a change leader.
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting.

Salary range
$133,000.00 - $210,000.00 / annually.For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $165,000.00- $248,000.00/ annually
