M&S Finance is seeking a highly motivated and analytical U.S. Variable Marketing National Programs Finance Analyst to play a critical role in shaping our competitive market position and driving sales & share in a dynamic marketplace. This strategic position will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of a comprehensive national variable marketing programs that drive our U.S. Go-To-Market tactics.   • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, or a business centered degree

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in pricing, financial analysis, strategy, business analytics, or a related commercial role, preferably within the automotive, commercial vehicle, or technology sectors.

This position is a salary grade 5-8 and ranges from $65,100-$166,200.     

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

What you'll do...

  • Support Go-to-Market Variable Marketing Programs Development: In conjunction with your People Leader, support the development, definition, and execution of robust go-to-market variable marketing strategies that deliver our monthly retail sales objectives. Collaborate on a regular basis with C&I operating teams and Brand teams to ensure VM strategies are aligned with overall business objectives and market realities.

  • Quarterly Program Costings & Analysis: This position provides a high level of support to the U.S. Variable Marketing National Programs Finance Supervisor in developing key assumptions and overall costs for quarterly VM programs.  Once tactics are launched in market, you will be required to analyze accuracy of assumptions and identify variances in costing assumptions to market realities.

  • Collaborate With M&S Operations Dynamically: Vehicle sales is a dynamic space, with competitive actions and market factors driving the need for pivots in tactics on a monthly, weekly and sometimes daily basis.  You will work closely with operations and your People Leader on fast-turn analysis, costings and recommendations for variable tactics. It is not uncommon for a VM pivot to go from brainstorming to costing to implementation in the course of a few hours.

  • Ad Hoc Financial Close Analysis: Conduct timely and insightful ad hoc financial analysis related to the financial close process. Identify key variances, trends, and opportunities for revenue optimization, providing clear explanations and recommendations to management.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to effectively collaborate, influence, and build strong relationships with diverse operating partners across various functions (e.g., product development, sales, marketing, finance, engineering).

  • In-depth Business Analysis: Demonstrated expertise in conducting rigorous, in-depth business analysis. You're capable of synthesizing complex market factors, economic indicators, competitive intelligence, and internal data to derive strategic insights and actionable recommendations.

  • Initiative & Proactiveness: A strong sense of initiative and a proactive mindset. You possess the ability to identify critical business needs, define complex problems, and independently initiate and drive solutions in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You don't wait to be told what to do; you find and create your own impactful work.
