Position Summary
Agape Family Health is seeking a motivated Registered Behavioral Health Intern to join our interdisciplinary team. This full-time internship provides supervised clinical experience in a community-based setting and is designed for graduate students pursuing licensure in clinical social work, marriage and family therapy, or mental health counseling. The intern must be registered at the Florida state level and receive ongoing supervision from a licensed supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Clinical services: Provide therapeutic interventions for children (age 12+), adults, and families using evidence-based theories, approaches, and modalities. Maintain ethical standards and professional boundaries.
· Assessment amp; treatment: Evaluate clients, formulate diagnoses, develop treatment plans, conduct sessions, and maintain documentation in a community-based care setting. Learn and apply suicidality/crisis protocols as needed.
· Supervision: Receive regular supervision from a Board-approved qualified supervisor (minimum 1 hour every 2 weeks).
· Documentation: Complete detailed, timely clinical documentation (progress notes, treatment plans, reviews) using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
· Collaboration: Work with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure continuity of services.
· Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA and all applicable ethical and legal standards in clinical practice.
Supervision amp; Eligibility
· Must be registered as a Florida state-level intern with the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage amp; Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling and with the Florida Department of Health (Board-approved supervisor required).
· Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally diverse, community-based environment with a commitment to ethical practice and client confidentiality.
· Authorization to provide clinical services under supervision until licensure is obtained.
Compensation and benefits
· Salary: $35,000 to $45,000 annually, with benefits.
· This is a full-time internship position. Benefits eligibility and specifics may vary; academic credit opportunities may be available depending on program requirements.
Candidate Preference (Not Required)
· “Second Career” Interns: prior behavioral health experience outside of graduate-level practicum.
· Bilingual preferred: ability to facilitate sessions in Spanish or English.
· Experience in fast-paced healthcare or community-based settings; strong organizational skills.
· Experience working with geriatric patients.
· Having been a patient yourself at some point (valued for empathy and perspective).
Qualifications (minimum)
· Enrollment in an accredited graduate program in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or Mental Health Counseling.
· Active pursuit of practicum/internship hours; eligible for Florida intern registration with the appropriate board.
· Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
