Job description

The UC Program Director is responsible for carrying out and overseeing all program, contract, and compliance direction. They provide leadership in ongoing development of program and to participate at the administrative level in policy -making, planning and decision making. The program director is to provide leadership to the interdisciplinary tea which includes, management, clinical team, and direct care employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the highest quality delivery of services to youth in accordance with Wedgwood Christian Services Mission Statement and Principles and Core Values.
  • Serves as the agency liaison for ongoing licensing compliance for residential treatment services.
  • Ensures that all aspects of the ORR contract are fulfilled in current services.
  • Provide oversight at weekly team meetings and work the Home Supervisor in overseeing daily routines, program implementation, and establishing a therapeutic milieu.
  • Maintain oversight and accountability for investigation corrective actions.
  • Monitor debriefing and incident response team for ongoing compliance and effectiveness.
  • Provide financial oversight to the program by creating and presenting Business Reviews, in collaboration with the Residential Associate Director.
  • Collaborates with Quality Assurance team for all residential audits, data collection and contract information.
  • Collaborate with all partners and outside entities to ensure high quality care.
  • Complete staff evaluations on a timely basis; use staff discipline procedures as necessary, consulting with Human Resources as appropriate.
  • Assist and support all staff within their department in effectively carrying out of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Meet regularly with other administrative personnel to maintain good communication among various departments.
  • Regular participation in supervision meetings for the sharing of ideas, feedback, and department planning.
  • Participate in the screening, interviewing, and hiring of staff for the UC program.
  • Meet regularly with Chief Program Officer to provide ongoing communication regarding risk situations within program.
  • Responsible for tracking and monitoring utilization and outcome data.
  • Ensure that all programs are following Agency policy and procedures, including any governmental contract or State Licensing/Child Protective Services requirements. Contract proper Agencies and complete Corrective Action Plans as required.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in social work or equivalent degree in education, psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science degree -or-
    • Bachelor’s degree plus five years of experience in child welfare administration and two years of experience in program management.
  • Minimum of five years of experience working with adolescents and/or families.
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a Residential setting with an understanding of Child Licensing regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Prior experience with data analysis preferred.
  • Prior experience with program budgets preferred.
  • Subscription to the Statement of Faith of Wedgwood Christian Services and agreement with the goals, purpose, and objectives of the agency.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred.
