Job description

The Ford Agency is partnering with a prestigious DC law firm in their search for an entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to support their busy and successful practice groups. The Business Development Manager will drive marketing strategy with the goal of increasing the firm's visibility and affirming the firm's reputation as a top legal services provider. This individual will collaborate closely with attorneys, and marketing team to manage the pitches and proposals process, and create innovative business development programs. This is a great opportunity for someone with at least 5 years of business development experience to join a top law firm!

Responsibilities Include:
• Create business development strategies and initiatives in collaboration with attorneys and leaders
• Strategically generate new leads, expand existing clients, and identify cross-selling opportunities
• Coach and advise team members on pitches, proposals and marketing material
• Research and identify engagement opportunities for the Firm
• Oversee the RFP, proposal, and pitch process from initial planning to submissions
• Monitor and track business development progress and deliver reports at monthly meetings

Qualifications Include:
• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of business development experience in a law firm strongly preferred
• Proven leadership and supervisory experience
• Thorough understanding on international markets and business development
• Strong project management skills client service skills
• Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) and CRM systems

Compensation:
• $128,000 - $180,000 annually

Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
