Job Title
Product Development Program Manager (Automotive)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Product Development Program Manager to support vehicle development programs from planning through launch and ongoing production. This individual contributor role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to manage engineering changes, program milestones, supplier coordination, and production readiness while supporting quality, cost, and launch objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage program milestones, deliverables, and cross-functional activities throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Coordinate engineering change requests and change control activities.
  • Execute Engineering Change Management (ECM) processes.
  • Review Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and assess program impacts.
  • Manage and track Change Request (CR) approvals and reporting.
  • Maintain Cost Detail Document (CDD) trackers and support cost verification activities.
  • Align engineering Bill of Materials (BOM) data with financial BOMs.
  • Track production inventory and support obsolescence management during engineering changes.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to support engineering changes and ongoing production activities.
  • Process initial and change-control releases for supplier-owned service parts.
  • Communicate release information for engineering documentation updates.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings related to design, change control, software updates, and service support.
  • Support value improvement initiatives through supplier coordination and activity tracking.
  • Provide ongoing program management support for current production programs.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3-5 years of experience in automotive program management, product development, or engineering release.
  • Experience managing Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs) and Change Requests (CRs).
  • Experience with program management and change control processes.
  • Experience coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience aligning engineering BOMs with financial data.
  • Experience tracking production inventory and minimizing obsolescence during product changes.
  • Experience leading technical and operational meetings.
  • Knowledge of cost engineering principles.
  • Experience using Engineering Change Management (ECM) processes.
  • Hybrid work schedule (4 days per week in the office).
