Job description

We're hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead Asana's push into agentic work management - building the programs that let AI teammates plan, execute, and orchestrate work alongside humans. You'll drive initiatives spanning the Asana Work Management Platform which enables human-AI collaboration workflows, partnering with teams across R&D and the business to deliver exceptional customer outcomes. This role requires technical depth and business acumen with strong collaboration skills to orchestrate work across Engineering, Product, Design, Research, and Business teams.

This role is based in our Vancouver or New York office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. If you're interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share more about the in-office requirements.

What you'll achieve
  • Lead end-to-end execution of cross-functional programs that advance Asana's agentic work management capabilities - from onboarding and task delegation to multi-agent orchestration and human-in-the-loop review - that let customers get real work done with AI.

  • Build and own product engineering delivery plans, timelines, and dependencies, ensuring alignment and accountability with cross-functional teams.

  • Create visibility, clarity, and drive delivery by managing program governance, identifying risks, coordinating resources, and ensuring teams execute effectively toward shared goals.

  • Communicate updates effectively to teams and stakeholders on program health.

  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and streamlining processes.

About you
  • Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making.

  • Brings 8+ years leading technical programs in enterprise software and B2B SaaS, with a strong track record managing large, complex initiatives with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Demonstrates excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to drive alignment and decisions, simplifying complex topics and appropriately adjusting altitude to fit the audience and situation.

  • Is outcome-driven, comfortable working with ambiguity, and able to move fast in uncertain situations to solve problems.

  • Shows AI fluency with a track record of learning and applying emerging technologies quickly to unlock new ways of working.

  • Possesses the ability to leverage data and AI-powered tools to drive alignment and decision-making.

  • Has experience with project management and collaboration software and tools (Asana experience is a plus).

At Asana, we're committed to building teams that include a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills, as this is critical to helping us achieve our mission. If you're interested in this role and don't meet every listed requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
