We are looking for an experienced and motivated Program Coordinator – Business to join our growing team at Abilis!

Job Summary: The Program Coordinator plays a key support role in the day-to-day operations of Abilis’ Glenville-based businesses, including Property Maintenance, Cleaning Crew, Riverside Commons, Environmental Enrichment, and Abils Cafe. This position assists the Director of Business Operations in ensuring smooth, mission-driven operations by coordinating schedules and transportation, supporting program staff, and managing supplies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, flexible, and passionate about creating and sustaining inclusive employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with program participants. 

  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and summon emergency personnel when needed. 

  • Maintain valid CPR and medication administration certifications; perform CPR and Heimlich maneuver when necessary. 

  • Safely supervise individuals and assist with adaptive equipment; lift up to 40 lbs. 

  • Assist with daily program operations, including scheduling and staff coordination. 

  • Coordinate transportation schedules and provide coverage during staff absences. 

  • Support individuals with disabilities by providing resources, guidance, and on-the-job assistance. 

  • Track time, attendance, and maintain accurate payroll and program records. 

  • Facilitate communication between programs, team leads, and staff. 

  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and planning sessions. 

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience in business operations, retail, hospitality, or non-profit program coordination. 

  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in administrative, operational, or support roles. 

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic point-of-sale. 

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills; ability to manage multiple priorities across programs. 

  • Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills—particularly in working with individuals with disabilities. 

  • Valid driver’s license.
