Job description

Position: Program Coordinator II

Location: Grand Junction-Building B

Position qualifications: 
Master’s Degree required, preferably in a recognized mental health profession preferred and/or minimum three (3) years minimum work experience in a human services setting, such as a community mental health center, chemical dependency setting, or residential treatment facility; experience must include at least one (1) year administrative and/or supervisory experience. Licensure in the State of Colorado preferred. 

Job purpose: 
Provides effective management and operation of Mind Springs, Inc. service delivery systems for specific program within assigned county.  Responsible for proper and efficient oversight of ongoing operations with emphasis on clinical services and sustainable program quality.  Coordinates program services and provides direct clinical services. In the Rural/Resort regions, Program Coordinators manage sites that serve less than 450 clients annually.   

Knowledge, Skill & Ability (include materials and equipment directly used): 
•   Ability to provide leadership in decision making, implementation, and quality compliance.
•   Ability to effectively communicate program needs and services to individuals and groups.
•   Must have a thorough knowledge of management, mental health, and community relations.
•  Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications to include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and      Internet Access.
•   Ability to operate standard office equipment including calculator, copy machine, fax and multi-line telephone.
•   Interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external           customers.
•   Ability to organize and prioritize workload in a sometimes-hectic environment with frequent interruptions.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:  Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop.  Must have ability to sit for longer periods of time at a computer. Employee must be able to travel between Mind Springs sites. May be exposed to stressful situations that involve enraged, distraught and/or intoxicated individuals with possible mental disorders. Possible potential for exposure to communicable disease. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
