Job description

Department: Human Resources

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Program Coordinator, Organizational Effectiveness will support a number of critical human resource programs including Career Development, Business Analytics & Decision Support, Performance Management and Learning and Development. Under the direction of our HR Senior Project Manager, the incumbent in this position will collaborate with the various program managers, HR teams and stakeholder groups to support a wide variety of program management activities. The mission of the Organizational Effectiveness team is to support HR’s strategic initiatives, projects and programs, and priorities that support all of VCU’s stakeholders, through a culture of care and appreciation.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Provide professional support to program managers;
  • Engage in the planning, organization and execution of tasks in support of various programs including career pathing, performance management, staff surveys, and tableau data dashboards and analytics;
  • Utilize a variety of technologies and methodologies to ensure accurate, reliable, and useful data for VCU HR stakeholders.
  • Coordinate timelines, project plans, scheduling, and deliverables of assigned projects;
  • Conduct data analysis and support assessment of program ROI;
  • Actively engage in special projects that move the OE department, VCU HR and the larger university community forward.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with some relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in areas such as project management, program operations, human resources, business consultation, organizational effectiveness, adult learning, business analytics, etc.
  • Self-directed, outcome-oriented, and detail-oriented;
  • Ability to problem-solve and adapt when confronted with ambiguity;
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication; collaboration; time management; and organizational skills;
  • Success working both independently on assigned projects and collaboratively with varied workstreams.;
  • Appreciation for data and evaluation processes;
  • Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Related work experience in Higher Education that has included program planning, evaluation, and data reporting;
  • Experience collecting and managing data, analyzing data using statistical methods and software, interpreting findings and creating reports.
  • Experience working with productivity software such as Smartsheets, Tableau, and Google Workspace.
  • Demonstrated goal measurement, coaching, problem solving/resolution, collaboration, and leadership abilities;
  • Familiarity with Virginia Commonwealth University.

Salary Range:$55,000 - $65,000
