Position Summary

Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Controller will be responsible for oversight of all accounting, and reporting activities across a multi-branch, $50M+ revenue services business owned by CPS Capital. This individual will lead day-to-day accounting operations, ensure timely and accurate ๏ฌnancial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, coordinate with HR team member and manage external finance vendors where applicable . The Controller will be responsible for managing all aspects of controllership, bookkeeping, audit, tax, compliance, and ๏ฌnancial reporting for the organization.

  • Executeallaccountingsystemsandprocesses,ensuringaccountingbestpracticesandGAAPrequirements are adhered to,ultimately resultingintimelyandaccuratebooks
  • Managemonthlyandannualcloseprocess,consolidation,andpreparationofaccurateandtimely ๏ฌnancial reporting for internal and external stakeholders
  • Supportbudgeting,forecasting,varianceanalysis,andad-hoc๏ฌnancialanalysis
  • Maintainrobustinternalcontrols
  • Ensures corporate compliance
  • Manages enterprise risk, including oversight of insurance programs (in conjunction with HRcounterpart)
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives across accounting and finance functions
  • Lead or support CRM and financial system implementations and enhancements, including integration with accounting platforms, ensuring data integrity, reporting alignment, and user adoption
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment with limited structure,demonstratingthe ability to bring clarity, prioritize competing demands, and execute with minimal direction
  • Self-starter with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset, capable of independentlyidentifyingissues, developing practical solutions, and driving them through to completion
  • 4-7yearsofprogressiveaccountingand๏ฌnanceexperience,ideallybeginninginpublicaccounting/audit and followed by industry experience in a multi-entity business
