Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing leadership, guidance and direction to the Quality Control/Assurance team members and staff. The individual is also responsible for assisting the Residential Construction & Development Director in formulating procedures, managing daily operational activities and planning use of materials and resources toward maximum productivity. The incumbent aids in construction project site observations; recommends, implements, and administers methods, processes and procedures for a robust quality control and assurance program. The individual ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulations, and stakeholder expectations. The incumbent reviews daily field observation reports and oversees the quality of construction for projects to ensure construction projects are completed in accordance to the contract documents, plans and specifications. Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related field is required. A minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience overseeing the administration of construction projects, including five (5) years of experience in an administrative leadership capacity or managing staff is required. ASQ certification preferable, but not required. An equivalent combination of relevant education/training and experience will be considered. Strong knowledge of construction industry quality assurance and control practices. Demonstrate intermediate skills using Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, etc.). Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills. Must have a valid Florida Driver's License and be able to travel to all STOF Reservations and facilities. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
