Overview

The Compliance Coordinator provides operational and administrative support to the Compliance Department to enhance the organization's ability to proactively manage regulatory and operational risk. The position coordinates compliance program activities, supports documentation and system management, and assists with routine monitoring activities including HIPAA privacy audits.This role centralizes administrative and coordination responsibilities that support compliance oversight, allowing senior compliance staff to focus on higher-risk regulatory analysis, education, and strategic initiatives. The Compliance Coordinator ensures timely documentation, tracking, and follow-up of compliance activities to strengthen organizational accountability, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness. Through coordination of routine activities and maintenance of compliance documentation, this role supports theorganization's ability to identify potential compliance risks early and maintain readiness for regulatory oversight, audits, and operational site visits.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:1. Coordinate day-to-day administrative operations of the Corporate Compliance Department, including scheduling, document management, and tracking compliance initiatives.2. Maintain and update compliance program systems and databases, including platforms such as SAI360 and Clarity, ensuring accurate documentation and tracking of compliance activities.3. Perform routine HIPAA privacy access monitoring reviews using established processes and monitoring tools; document findings and provide results to compliance leadership for review and follow-up.4. Maintain compliance program documentation including policies, training materials, audit reports, regulatory research files, and supporting records necessary for regulatory readiness.5. Coordinate compliance monitoring activities by maintaining the compliance monitoring calendar and tracking completion of routine monitoring tasks and related documentation.6. Assist compliance staff by compiling documentation and coordinating follow-up activities related to compliance monitoring reviews, internal audits, and investigations.7. Coordinate preparation and distribution of compliance communications, training materials, and educational resources for staff and leadership.8. Track and route compliance inquiries to appropriate compliance staff to ensure timely response and appropriate documentation.9. Maintain records and documentation necessary to support regulatory audits, operational site visits, and internal monitoring efforts.10. Assist in coordinating compliance committee meetings, including preparation of meeting materials, reports, and documentation.11. Support compliance leadership with preparation of reports, dashboards, and documentation used for organizational oversight and monitoring.12. Promote a culture of compliance by supporting departmental initiatives that strengthen regulatory awareness and accountability across the organization.

  • 1 year Healthcare compliance, healthcare administration, regulatory support, auditing, or related operational role, including HIPAA privacy or compliance monitoring

Licenses and Certifications:

  • CHC Certified Healthcare Compliance Within 1 Year Required
