Job description

Authentic helps insurance brokers create better insurance products for their clients. We provide the technology platform and behind-the-scenes support that lets brokers build custom insurance solutions for specific industries or customer groups. Think of us as the operating system that powers these specialized insurance offerings. For brokers, this means they can offer unique products their competitors don't have, earn more money, and spend less time on paperwork and administrative tasks. We handle the complex (technology, compliance, and partnerships with highly-rated insurance carriers), so they can focus on serving their customers and growing their business.
Responsibilities
  • Work on simple bug fixes and basic components of programs in the PAS, with guidance from senior Program Developers
  • Resolve inbound Operations requests across endorsements, build configuration, NAICS/SIC class mappings, and form attachments
  • Use GitHub, and Statsig to make and ship configuration changes to carrier programs, tenants, products, and coverages
  • Support senior teammates on active builds by owning discrete sub-tasks like class code mapping, form attachment conditions, and QA testing in staging

Experience
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in operations, insurance, technical project management, or configuration work - recent graduates encouraged to apply
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with structured data (config files, rate tables, form lists, class codes)
  • Comfort with light coding or configuration work - you don't need to be a software engineer, but you should be unintimidated by making PRs in GitHub, and learning a configuration system
  • Willingness to start with simple bug fixes and basic program components, take feedback well in code review, and grow into more independent work over time
  • Demonstrated ability to learn complex domains quickly
  • Strong written communication

Starting salary
$75,000
Our (FTE) benefits
  • Competitive salary, equity, and role trajectory
  • Comprehensive health benefits for you and your family
  • 401(k) plan with company match
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Paid parental leave
