Job Summary

As a Customer Service Associate, you will be an asset to the daily operations by performing both Cashier and Cook duties while delivering excellent customer service. Our Cashiers are the face of our operations, interacting with customers and ensuring they have a positive shopping experience. While our Cooks are the heart and soul of operations, preparing and serving our delicious menu items and local favorites.

Starting pay is $16.50 per hour. Successfully completing our Cashier and Cook training courses earns you a $250 training bonus per course, totaling up to $500. Completing these programs can lead to exciting career advancement opportunities like Senior Customer Service Associate and Shift Manager, with rewarding pay increases.

What You Will Do
  • Greet and assist customers in a positive and professional manner as they enter the store and throughout their visit using Minit Stop’s Core Values and Practices.
  • Handle cash, credit and debit transactions accurately on the store’s Point of Sale system and balance the cash register at the end of shift.
  • Pre-pare, handle, cook and serve food in a clean, sanitary and safe manner and according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Ensure proper food storage and discard procedures are followed accordingly to company standards.
  • Assist with inventory stocking, organization and rotation.
  • Cleaning, maintenance and general upkeep of the store floor and kitchen areas.
  • Operate and maintain all company equipment and report workplace hazards, injuries and incidents to store leadership in a timely fashion.
  • Promote company sponsored incentives, promotions and Reward Programs.
  • Assist customers with inquiries and effectively resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Seeking candidates 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Obtain a TB Clearance and Safe Food Handler's Certification upon hire and acquire a Liquor Card within 60 days of hire.
  • Previous cash and food handling experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude, enthusiasm for acquiring new skills, have effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow Company policies and directions and understand and abide by Local, State and Federal laws pertaining to the sale of alcohol and tobacco products and handling of food.
  • Be able to lift up to 25 pounds to a height of at least 4 feet with or without reasonable accommodation and stand for prolonged periods of time throughout the day.
  • Maintain an acceptable attendance and punctuality record including being available for shifts throughout the store operating hours.
