Medical Assistant II - OB/GYNGranger Medical Clinic is seeking a part-time (16 hours) Medical Assistant II to join our Riverton OB/GYN Clinic. This is an immediate opening for a motivated and patient-focused individual.In this role, you will work closely with physicians and clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include telephone triage, insurance authorizations, recording vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, etc.), administering immunizations, performing phlebotomy, maintaining exam rooms, and managing documentation and filing.Schedule:Tuesday and Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate courteously and effectively with patientsTyping/keyboarding proficiency of at least 40 WPMBasic arithmetic, computer, and analytical skillsDependable, flexible, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environmentTeam-oriented with a willingness to assist others as neededStrong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishAbility to communicate professionally with physicians, staff, and patientsBilingual skills are preferredEssential Functions and Duties:Answer phones, schedule appointments, and greet patientsCollect and maintain accurate patient demographic informationObtain prior authorizations for medications and proceduresPrepare patients for examinations and provide providers with relevant information (lab results, vitals, medications, allergies)Communicate effectively with patients regarding appointments and care needsPerform additional duties as assignedEducation and Experience:High school diploma or GED REQUIREDMedical Assistant certification preferredPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:Standing and walking for extended periods, Lifting up to 50lbs.Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment.Inside, climate-controlled working conditions.Granger Medical Clinic offers competitive wages, potential for quarterly bonuses, and excellent benefits.
