**This posting is for one (1) Temporary position that may continue until June 2027**

The Edmonton Police Service Human Resources Division is seeking a highly organized and competent individual to provide administrative support to the Employee Staffing and Recognition Staff Sergeant. This position is responsible for providing administrative and operational support for recruitment and selection of civilian and sworn positions.

  • Preparing and posting job postings.
  • Assisting in applicant screening, reference checks and related selection process tasks.
  • Preparing any required letters, memos and briefing notes.
  • Preparing visa statements, variance reports, calendar management and bookings for the Inspector and Staff Sergeant.
  • Updating and managing all information on several division trackers. 
  • Maintaining tracking information, electronic filing and record keeping.
  • Preparing and issuing a variety of information for hearings, internal processes and collective bargaining.
  • Responsible for assisting with awards and recognition programs. 
  • Tracking of Court Subpoenas for Sworn members off work/on leave.
  • Performing other related duties as required.
     
  • Completion of grade twelve (12) including business subjects related to word and information processing and training in microcomputer applications or completion of an approved certificate program. A minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible supervisory and diversified word and/or information processing experience.
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience providing administrative support in a unionized environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, inclusive of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams and Adobe.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, customer service, and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills with great attention to detail.
  • The ability to process a large volume of work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while offering prompt service to clients.
  • Working knowledge of current Employment Standards and Human Resources practices would be considered an asset.

Hours of Work: 33.75 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Hours of work may be subject to the terms and conditions of a variable hours of work program.
Salary Range: 21M, Salary Grade 012, $30.31 - $38.01 (Hourly), $2,046.30 - $2,565.80 (Bi-weekly), $53,407.45 - $66,967.64 (Annually)
