EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required

    Enrolled in an academic institution as either an undergraduate or graduate student and 
    Must be in good standing academically and 
    Intern is expected to take appropriate safety and compliance training as determined by his/her home department and UT Southwestern policy

JOB DUTIES

  • The research intern will work with current faculty, other graduate and undergraduate students, post-doctoral fellows and visiting scientists allowing the research expectations of the department to be met. 
  • The intern will assist to complete extramurally funded projects (from the NIH and AHA) and allow the generation of data for future applications seeking additional funding. 
  • Perform subject experimentation.
  • Laboratory management.
  • Collect and analyze research data.
  • Draft, publish and present research findings.
  • Specific duties will depend upon the goals of the training program and the intern's qualifications. Duties may include, but are not limited to: analyzing data, performing laboratory experiments, and/or auditing research charts and entering data.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
