Job description

Overview

Accreditation Manager, University Partnerships and Post-Professional Accreditation 
Reports to the Associate Director of Accreditation 

The Accreditation Manager leads a pod of Accreditation Coordinators to support accreditation and regulatory compliance across University Partner (UP) and Post-Professional programs. This role is responsible for assigning and prioritizing work, supervising performance, ensuring accuracy and quality in accreditation deliverables, and maintaining alignment with accrediting body requirements. The Manager provides coaching, performance feedback, and workflow oversight to ensure high-quality accreditation support across all assigned programs. 
 


Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Performance Management 

  • Provides strategic leadership, forecasting accreditation readiness and resource allocation needs. 

  • Supervises Coordinators providing ongoing coaching, direction, and performance feedback. 

  • Assigns, prioritizes, and monitors workloads to ensure timely, accurate completion of accreditation tasks. 

  • Evaluates team performance and identifies opportunities for growth, skill development, and improvement. 

  • Ensures adherence to accreditation processes, documentation standards, and quality expectations across the team. 

  • Communicates expectations, goals, and deadlines, ensuring clarity and accountability. 

  • Supports hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members within the Accreditation function. 

Accreditation Workflow Oversight 

  • Oversees accreditation workflows for assigned UP and Post-Professional programs, ensuring alignment with accrediting body requirements. 

  • Ensures accuracy, completeness, and consistency of accreditation documents produced by the team, including narratives, appendices, data tables, and supporting materials. 

  • Identifies risks, gaps, or delays in accreditation workflows and implements corrective actions or escalates issues as needed. 

  • Ensures faculty documentation workflows are executed accurately and that CVs, qualifications, and contemporary expertise documentation meet accreditor expectations. 

  • Reviews high-risk or complex accreditation materials prior to submission, providing guidance and final quality checks. 

Continuing Education (CE) & Residency Accreditation Oversight 

  • Ensures accurate and timely CE submissions (PT state boards, BOC, AOTA, ASHA/SLP, ARC-PA) by supervising the work of Specialists and Coordinators. 

  • Monitors CE status, compliance requirements, and deadlines, and ensures documentation is maintained accurately. 

  • Ensures residency accreditation tasks are completed according to established processes and accreditor expectations. 

  • Provides guidance to the team on CE and residency requirements, escalating complex issues when necessary. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication 

  • Serves as the primary Accreditation contact for Coordinator led workflows, including faculty documentation, portal uploads, and related accreditation support activities for assigned UP partnerships. 

  • Coordinates with Program Directors, faculty, Operations, and UP leadership on Coordinator led accreditation workflows and collaborates with Accreditation Consultants on programmatic accreditation requirements. 

  • Facilitates accreditation-related meetings, ensuring agenda alignment, discussion flow, accurate notes, and timely follow-up. 

Process Improvement & Operational Leadership 

  • Evaluates accreditation workflows and identifies opportunities to improve efficiency, clarity, and quality. 

  • Implements improvements to templates, tools, and processes in collaboration with the Associate Director. 

  • Ensures consistent application of accreditation standards across the pod and contributes to the development of best practices. 

  • Supports strategic accreditation initiatives, including readiness planning, cycle forecasting, and operational improvements.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach, and evaluate high-performing teams 

  • Experience assigning work, prioritizing deadlines, and ensuring quality across multiple workflows 

  • Advanced understanding of accreditation standards, documentation requirements, and CE processes 

  • Applies exceptional attention to detail in the review of complex accreditation materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance 

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders 

  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities with proven problem-solving capability 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Monday.com, and accreditation-related systems 

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred 

  • 5+ years of accreditation, regulatory compliance, or related experience, including experience leading or mentoring others 

  • Experience in higher education, healthcare accreditation, compliance, or academic program operations preferred
