Description
As an Account Manager with Liberty Packaging, you will contribute to the growth of our business by focusing on both winning new business as well as growing existing customer relationships. Our business-to-business Account Managers deliver a go-to-market strategy that helps our customers expand their offerings, achieve cost savings, and deliver margin improvement and profitability for LDI, while maintaining long-term customer relationships.
This position reports to the Director Sales - Packaging and is located at our facility in Rock Island, IL.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • In partnership with the Sales Manager, build and execute a sales and marketing strategy to capture new business at existing customers and identify new customers in a variety of new and emerging industries
  • Drive new sales opportunities by identifying key decision-makers and creating the right approach to reach them. Execute traditional and Go-To-Market sales strategies to capture market share, improve profit margin, and deliver untapped value for our customers
  • Initiate customer relationships and close business utilizing a proven sales process
  • Leverage our packaging capabilities as you work closely with our talented internal teams: design, pricing, customer service, estimating, production, procurement, and logistics - to design custom packaging solutions that meet our customers' needs
  • Manage customer expectations and provide excellent customer service experience
  • Continue to cultivate long-term customer relationships as you strive to meet their ongoing packaging needs.
  • Monitor market, customer, and consumer trends that impact the business
  • Other duties, as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • High school diploma / GED equivalent from an accredited institution and 2+ related sales experience OR Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or related field in lieu of experience
  • Experience planning, implementing, and analyzing new sales strategies
  • Experience in a manufacturing organization is a plus

  • Excellent communication skills and superior resolution and decision-making skills

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The earning potential for this position is $100,000-$150,000 based on experience and book of business. This position is also eligible for mileage reimbursement. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to actual sales, education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.
