Position Summary

The Department of Chemistry is currently seeking adjunct faculty who are passionate about teaching and student learning in a Christian work environment. The College offers both daytime and evening adjunct opportunities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established departmental and institutional guidelines.

  • Provide timely, quality access to students via electronic communication and other appropriate methods.

  • Evaluate students by established means to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and to inform them in a timely manner of their progress.

  • Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

  • Submit paperwork and forms in a timely fashion.

  • Must be available to students outside of the classroom.

  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in chemistry with at least 18 graduate semester hours in chemistry.

  • Doctorate in chemistry and a demonstrated record of quality teaching is preferred.

  • Ability to teach introductory chemistry lecture and laboratories and general chemistry lectures and laboratories.
