Job description

Description Join Our Team Montgomery County Parks is seeking enthusiastic, customer-focused Tennis Professional to join our team at the Pauline Betz Addie Tennis Center and Wheaton Indoor Tennis Center. Whether you're introducing beginners to the game or helping experienced players improve, you'll play an important role in teaching tennis and growing the game, while delivering high-quality instruction and exceptional customer experiences. Examples of Important Duties What You'll Do Create a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment while teaching group tennis lessons for junior and adult players using approved curriculum and instructional methods. Maintain attendance records and student evaluations and recommend appropriate class placements based on student progress. Provide outstanding customer service and respond professionally to participant feedback.

Professionally collaborate and communicate with management and fellow Tennis Professionals to ensure high-quality programming. Attend staff meetings and support camps, special events, and year-round programming. Minimum Qualifications What We're Looking For Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude. Experience teaching players of all ages and skill levels. Current RSPA Level 1 Instructor, USTA Coaching Professional, PTR Level 1 certification, or equivalent.

Availability to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Knowledge of 10 & Under Tennis instructional methods; adaptive tennis experience is a plus. Supplemental Information May be subject to medical, drug and alcohol testing.
