JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Restaurant Server 

REPORTS TO: F & B Manager/GM 


POSITION SUMMARY 


The Restaurant Server is responsible for serving food and beverage items to guests in a friendly, enthusiastic, and timely manner. This role requires knowledge of the menu, attention to detail, and a guest-focused approach to creating positive dining experiences. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, takes pride in providing exceptional service, and works well as part of a team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 


  • Deliver food and beverage service to guests with a positive, professional demeanor. 
  • Present the menu, provide detailed explanations of items as needed, and take guest orders accurately. 
  • Prepare and present orders in an organized, timely manner to ensure quality service. 
  • Refill water, make and pour coffee, and attend to additional guest requests. 
  • Clear tables throughout the dining experience, using proper methods to remove dishes, glassware, and silverware. 
  • Reset tables promptly and ensure all table settings meet cleanliness standards. 
  • Polish silverware, fold linens, and assist in maintaining a tidy dining area. 
  • Set up beverage stations by brewing coffee and arranging condiments for appropriate shifts. 
  • Actively listen and respond to guest concerns, using empathy and professionalism to resolve issues. 
  • Participate in team efforts to meet and exceed guest expectations, assisting where needed. 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support restaurant operations. 

QUALIFICATIONS 


  • Ability to anticipate guests’ service needs and respond proactively. 
  • Strong organizational skills, focus, and attention to detail. 
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work cohesively with team members. 
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a food server preferred. 
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs. 
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.  
  • Proficiency in English to communicate effectively with guests and coworkers. 
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws regarding alcohol service. 
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as needed.
