Job description

Prestige Transportation & Overland Chauffeured Services:
Kansas City’s premier luxury transportation company is expanding and looking to bring on additional team members. Prestige Transportation & Overland Chauffeured Service is Kansas City’s leading 24/7 chauffeured transportation provider that drives Kansas City’s elite.

About the role:
Dispatchers are the nucleus of our organization. This job role is fast-paced, and it changes not only every day but at times hourly and even faster. The dispatch position has several responsibilities and takes a special person for the role. Our transportation services range from airport transfers to high-profile weddings, major conferences, concerts, and sporting events. Working independently during the shift is a must for this position. People who are outgoing, proactive, and strong problem solvers will excel in this role. Our clients include Kansas City’s business leaders, multimillionaires, celebrities, and professional sports athletes. Due to the nature of our client base team members must use discretion and protect client confidentiality. If you are a career-minded individual and exhibit the qualities of a Five-Star employee would love to meet you.

Monitoring Dispatch Grid:
  • The dispatcher is responsible for monitoring the schedule and trip progress for our chauffeuring team, monitoring incoming flights, along adjusting trips/schedules to accommodate changes while ensuring clients' vehicles arrive on time.
  • Dispatchers are also responsible for monitoring trips the company has being serviced outside of Kansas City in other markets to make sure service runs smoothly.
  • This requires someone who is computer savvy with technology, and dispatching systems, has strong attention to detail and multitasking skills, and can work independently.

Reservations:
  • At times dispatchers help with overflow calls and enter reservations.
  • Experience with reservation systems or the ability to quickly learn the technology is a must.
  • Dispatchers spend one to two weeks in the Reservations Department, so we provide proper training.

Emails/Inbox:
The companies receive emails throughout the night with requests for transportation services along with other inquiries. Dispatchers working after office staff head home for the night will need to respond to these emails, so the person in this position needs to know proper grammar and how to professionally respond to clients and vendors. They will also need to know how to file emails properly and what needs to be forwarded to other Managers so items can be addressed when they come into the office the next day. At the end of each shift, dispatchers need to compose an email dispatch report to provide to management and the dispatch team that summarizes their shift with pertinent information.

Examples of those who have been successful in this role:
911 Dispatchers, other dispatching roles, Call Center Agents, and Client Service Specialists.

Benefits:
  • Health, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance.
  • 401(k) Match Up to 4% Immediately Vested.
  • Paid PTO/Vacation.
  • Competitive Compensation.

Available Shifts Full-Time:
  • Midshift.
  • Overnights.

Requirements:
  • 2-5 years experience in a dispatching role.
  • Professional phone experience with good listening skills.
  • Reservation systems experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Time management skills both professionally and personally.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team player.
  • Be able to pass drug, alcohol, and background checks.
  • Must provide references.

Location: Our base location is conveniently located off Merriam Lane between I-35 and I-635.
