Responsibilities:

  • Conducts research to support contract understanding; identify relationships and state general principles of basic contract law, facts and terms; improve FAR/UCC knowledge; or gain technical insight.
  • Understand and apply policies, procedures, and other regulatory requirements during the pre-award process, award/subcontract set-up, and administration of a subcontract.
  • Performs subcontract setup and administration, in accordance with checklists and policies, in corporate systems, assists in organization and maintenance of subcontract records and files documenting subcontract performance and compliance.
  • Draft simple to moderate subcontractual instruments, correspondence, memoranda, and other documentation commensurate with skills and Specialist/Managerial oversight.
  • Assists mid- to high-level contract/subcontract professionals in working with internal or external business teams/clients on issues and developments related to assigned subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Assist Specialists, Managers, and project teams with identification of issues which could become subcontract/purchase order changes and change management tracking.
  • Ensures subcontract/purchase order document reviews, approvals and execution in accordance with corporate and/or business unit guidelines.
  • Assists with and/or performs subcontract reporting functions for compliance with legal, FAR, regulatory, other subcontract terms and conditions, and corporate policies and procedures.
  • May conduct research to support contract audit and or facilitate business unit contracting trends.
  • Performs subcontract/purchase order closeout activities including Release of Claims, other closeout certifications, and final subcontract performance reporting.

Requirements:

  • Associate Degree Required Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
  • Minimum 2 yrs experience.
  • Some proficiency in understanding and applying subcontract policy and practice founded in corporate policy, the Federal Acquisition Regulation and its supplements, Uniform Commercial Code, and other professional publications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

Location/Work Arrangement:

  • Schedule is full-time, Monday – Friday 40-hour work week.
