Employee Shuttle Driver

Mountaintop Golf & Lake Club is a private family club nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina. Job Type: Full-time, seasonal

Position Summary: Mountaintop Golf & Lake Club is seeking a dependable, friendly, and safety-focused Employee Shuttle Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for providing reliable daily transportation for our international and seasonal employees between employee housing and the Club, ensuring our team arrives safely and on time each day.

In addition to the daily employee shuttle route, this position will also assist with member transportation requests, including airport transfers and local dinner shuttles, as scheduling permits.

This is a full-time seasonal position through mid-November, with the opportunity to remain on-call as needed during the off-season.

The primary schedule for this position is five days per week from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, operating the employee shuttle. Additional hours may be available based on member transportation needs, including airport transfers, local dinner shuttles, and special events.

Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays are required.

Essential Responsibilities

Employee Shuttle Operations

  • Safely transport employees between Mountaintop and designated employee housing on scheduled routes.
  • Ensure employees arrive at work safely, on time, and ready for their shifts.
  • Operate shuttle vehicles in a safe, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Keep shuttle vehicles clean, fueled, and well-maintained.
  • Report vehicle maintenance needs, safety concerns, or route issues promptly.
  • Serve as a positive representative of Mountaintop by creating a welcoming and respectful environment for all employees.

Member Transportation (As Needed)

  • Provide transportation for members and their guests to and from various airports.
  • Drive members to local restaurants, shopping, and other requested destinations.
  • Assist members with luggage and personal belongings when appropriate.
  • Deliver the same high level of hospitality and professionalism expected throughout the Club.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to safely operate passenger vans and shuttle vehicles.
  • Previous professional driving, transportation, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent schedule.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while remaining organized and responsive.
  • Ability to lift and transport luggage weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Familiarity with the Cashiers, Highlands, and surrounding areas is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
  • Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and load items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
