Job description

Overview
Auburn Aviation is seeking a dependable, professional, and safety-conscious student employee to serve as an Auburn Aviation Shuttle Driver. The Shuttle Driver is responsible for safely transporting students in a full-size crossover SUV between the Auburn University main campus and the Delta Air Lines Aviation Education Building while providing friendly and professional customer service.
The Auburn Aviation Shuttle operates Monday through Saturday during designated shuttle hours. The shuttle runs 4am-7am and 7pm to 11pm Monday through Friday and 4 am to 11pm on Saturdays. The shuttle does not operate on optional flying days.
Responsibilities
  • Safely transport students between designated Auburn Aviation and campus locations.
  • Follow all traffic laws, university policies, and shuttle operating procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional shuttle environment.
  • Arrive on time and be ready to begin each scheduled shift.
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with students, faculty, staff, and other members of the Auburn Aviation community.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and communicate appropriately regarding scheduling or unexpected circumstances.
  • Complete required vehicle checks and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
  • Assist students with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Follow established procedures for scheduled and requested shuttle rides.
  • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate good judgment while interacting with students and staff.

Qualifications
  • Enrolled student at Auburn University
  • Must have a clean and safe driving record.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must demonstrate safe and responsible driving habits.
  • Must be dependable and consistently on time for scheduled shifts.
  • Must be available to work every Saturday.
  • Must be professional, courteous, and comfortable interacting with students and university personnel.
  • Must be able to follow directions, policies, and established procedures.
  • Must demonstrate good communication and customer service skills.
