Job description

CNO NetDev Application Developer This role supports up‑and‑coming CNO projects as a general‑purpose reverse engineer focused on network‑based devices. You will design, develop, prototype, modify, and integrate solutions that deliver mission‑centric results. Working closely with analysts, operators, data scientists, and fellow engineers, you will provide tactical mission support by producing reliable, deployable CNO capabilities that operate within strict operational constraints. Job Roles
  • Augment and extend existing CNO toolsets to meet evolving mission needs.
  • Derive, analyze, and document technical and operational requirements.
  • Build prototypes to demonstrate understanding of mission objectives and technical constraints.
  • Design and produce deployable toolsets capable of operating in constrained mission environments.
  • Test, validate, and oversee testing of toolsets prior to operational release.
  • Provide ongoing support and sustainment for fielded software systems.
  • Collaborate closely with mission stakeholders to rapidly adapt solutions as requirements evolve. Job Requirements
  • Strong familiarity with Unix‑based operating systems.
  • Experience reverse engineering Linux‑based network devices.
  • In‑depth understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP) and network traffic analysis using tools such as Wireshark.
  • Proven ability to produce and modify software systems using C, C++, Python, and Assembly.
  • Experience supporting fielded and operational software systems.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and Subversion.
  • Experience using Atlassian collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • Prior experience supporting production CNO capabilities and operations.
  • Experience reverse engineering Windows or embedded platforms, including RTOS environments.
  • Experience with additional languages or scripting tools such as Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell, Perl, C#, or Rust.
  • Experience developing CNO‑specific software targeting Linux, Windows, or embedded platforms.
  • Background in vulnerability research and exploit development.
  • Knowledge of end‑to‑end SIGINT collection and analysis systems. Education & Experience
  • 12 years of relevant professional experience with a bachelor’s degree, or
  • 10 years of experience with a master’s degree.
  • Four (4) additional years of qualifying software engineering experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
