Panorama is hiring an experienced part-time Driver to transport our Panorama residents!
This position is responsible for transporting Panorama residents upon request in a safe and professional manner. Vehicles range from mini van to 14 or 22 passenger shuttle bus. Our ideal applicant will have a flexible schedule and be available on weekdays, evenings and weekends (up to 20 hours per week).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide outstanding professional transportation services to Panorama residents, with strict adherence to traffic laws, safety requirements, and the proper use and care of all equipment.
  • Provide accurate information and courteous service to residents, families, staff, and community providers regarding transportation services at Panorama and through community resources.
  • Maintain excellent communication with residents, families, staff, and community providers, including the prompt return of phone calls, verification of schedules, the sharing of Transportation contact information, and all other details needed to provide excellent service.
  • Maintain Transportation vehicles in a clean, uncluttered condition and follow precisely all vehicle maintenance protocols.
  • Demonstrate good map-reading and locational/directional skills.
  • Immediately communicate with supervisor when there are any issues with vehicles, residents, families, community providers, staff, or law enforcement.
  • Maintain knowledge of vehicle use and laws, safety and healthcare accessories, safe driving/parking techniques, customer service standards, emergency response protocols, and first aid/CPR.

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Experience working with the geriatric population, care-giving experience, experience and confidence driving/parking, experience with accessibility/mobility devices and features, experience with vehicle performance/maintenance issues.
REQUIREMENTS:

  • Washington State Driver's License
  • Minimum 5 years driving experience
  • Washington State Commercial Driver's License (with Passenger Endorsement) preferred
  • Excellent driving record and valid car insurance
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to clearly read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances/schedule and react appropriately
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills
