Trucking People is looking for an Experienced Autonomous Rideshare Tester to monitor vehicle software systems while ensuring safety and legal compliance. The role involves executing test cases, providing feedback on vehicle behaviors, and collaborating with engineers to troubleshoot issues during test runs.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor vehicle software systems while upholding safe operational protocols and full legal compliance.
• Execute specific test cases (e.g. navigating construction zones, roundabouts, heavy pedestrian traffic, etc.) and document system performance accordingly.
• Provide concise, high-quality verbal and written feedback on non-ideal vehicle behaviors and edge-case scenarios.
• Perform pre-and-post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring sensors (LiDAR, Cameras, Radar) are clean and report major, operational concerns accordingly.
• Work directly with Software and Hardware Engineers to troubleshoot issues identified during your shift(s).
• Drive test vehicles for 4–8 hours daily on predefined routes, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections to confirm roadworthiness and address any maintenance needs.
• Conduct basic software operations to support real-time data collection.
• Accurately document observations, issues, and anomalies encountered during test runs.
