Job description

Job Description Quality Engineer We are looking for a highly skilled Quality Engineer to develop, implement, and enforce quality control procedures and protocols, ensuring our products and services meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. This role requires a strong background in quality assurance methodologies, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and engineering drawing creation and review. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment and play a key role in driving process and system improvements.

Duties/Responsibilities: Develop and implement process procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing processes, materials, and finished products to identify defects or deviations from quality standards. Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for improvement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to resolve issues and implement corrective actions. Create, review, and validate engineering drawings to ensure precision and compliance with quality standards. Prepare and maintain documentation, including inspection reports, test procedures, and quality assurance records.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and optimize manufacturing processes. Provide training and support to employees on quality control procedures, best practices, and quality methodologies. Oversee document control processes within the Quality Management System (QMS).

Implement and manage supplier management processes as part of the QMS. Manage controlled changes within the QMS in collaboration with the Quality Manager and relevant departments. The ideal candidate: Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001)

Proficiency in engineering drawing creation and review. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including first-principles thinking. Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies.

Exceptional attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and precision. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience in quality assurance or process engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment. Demonstrated skills in engineering drawing creation and review.

Relevant certifications in quality management (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Auditor) are a plus. Physical Requirements: Ability to handle small parts and operate precision testing equipment requiring fine motor skills. Capability to move throughout the work environment to conduct inspections, audits, and assessments

Strong eyesight for visual inspections and detailed reviews of engineering drawings and documentation (visual aids may be used if necessary). Willingness to travel occasionally to supplier sites, customer locations, or other facilities for audits, inspections, or training sessions.
