Working with pets is not always easy, but we love what we do and care about giving our employees the tools to grow and succeed.
Shift Schedule: Flexible Scheduling
Rate of Pay: 50% Commission on Grooms, 40% Commission on Baths, Sign On Bonus + additional bonuses available
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF OUR PET STYLIST/GROOMER INCLUDE:
  • Providing customer service in the form of consultations and explanation of services available/rendered with explanation of costs
  • Physical ability and stamina to cut several 'guests' per day in a safe, skillful, and professional manner
  • Checking for parasites, lumps, bumps, or cuts prior to bathing
  • Cleaning and plucking ears, trimming nails, expressing external anal glands
  • Bathing 'guests' in proper shampoo and conditioner; dematting, brushing, and fluff drying
  • Performing all general maintenance of grooming room; cleaning cages, tubs, tables; vacuuming floors and mopping; cleaning clipper blades, scissors, and brushes after use
  • Working inside in a heated with high humidity area, with loud background noise from the dryers
  • Growing customer base and volume by making calls, cross-selling, and "shopping the halls" to look for potential service needs during downtime
  • Professionally greeting and checking in guests
  • Other duties as assigned by Resort Manager and/or Grooming Manager

QUALIFICATIONS TO BE A PET STYLIST/GROOMER
  • One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Customer service oriented and excellent verbal communication skills
  • Must be familiar with standard cuts for all breeds and be able to handle a variety of sizes of canines and felines safely and comfortably
  • Great work ethic, organized, reliable, and a team player
  • Must maintain a clean and healthy environment for 'guests'
  • Flexibility to resort schedule needs including days, night, weekends, holidays, and peak times
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
