Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces by priming, sanding, sealing, and patching, utilizing a variety of painting materials including varnish, lacquer, shellac, enamel, latex, epoxy, waterproofing, and heat-resistant finishes.
  • Color Matching: Cross-check colors and confirm supplied products to match job files.
  • Application Skills: Apply materials to new construction, existing, and remodeled buildings with precision and expertise.
  • Professional Representation: Exhibit a professional demeanor and effectively represent the company while working at client job sites.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Understand and interpret blueprints and scope specifications to ensure accurate execution of painting tasks.
  • Documentation: Complete required reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Change Orders: Understand the importance of and proficiently complete field change orders and submittals.
  • Equipment Proficiency: Trained and capable with multi-level scaffolding, extension ladders, and spray systems.
  • Maintenance: Maintain tools, equipment, and assigned trucks, ensuring they are in optimal condition; always keep a clean and safe work area.
  • Extensive Knowledge: Possess and apply in-depth knowledge of various painting materials and application methods.

Experience and Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience as a commercial painter - experience in both exterior and interior commercial painting, wallcoverings, and coatings highly preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to safety protocols and procedures
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
