It's a great time to join us at Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC)! ARC accelerates the growth of global air travel by delivering forward-looking travel data, flexible distribution services and other innovative industry solutions. We are a leading travel intelligence company with the world's largest, most comprehensive global airline ticket dataset, including more than 15 billion passenger flights. By working here, you can contribute to solutions and expertise that strengthen economies and enrich lives. We think big, embrace challenges and explore new ideas to lead the way for the travel industry.

ARC is looking for a DevOps Automation Engineer IV to join our team! In this role, you will provide subject-matter expertise in lifecycle management of ARC's Traverse portfolio infrastructure systems including supporting, administering, and maintaining tech stack and AWS services. You'll plan and perform deployment, patching, securing, and troubleshooting for mission-critical systems across multiple environments and applications/services. The DevOps Automation Engineer IV will provide thought leadership to other engineering and support teams across the organization to help execute initiatives, provide expertise and leadership in developing/integrating tools that need infrastructure.

What You'll Get to Do:

Identify updated industry standards and recommend improvements to company standards that support optimal systems operation. Ensure systems are secure by addressing data from vulnerability scans and AWS Security Tools (SecurityHub, Config, TrustedAdvisor, etc), recoverable by ensuring backups are up to date and replicated across regions, system availability, and leveraging infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, etc) and configuration management. Support software engineers and CI/CD Pipelines with automation, tools, and deployment (Jenkins, GitHub, BitBucket, CodeCommit, Atlassian tools, etc.).
  • Provide infrastructure systems expertise by responding to atypical complex events and incidents escalated by other teams. Provide thought leadership towards capacity planning, system triage and maintenance activities to ensure a robust platform for our applications. Create proactive maintenance plans coordinated with stakeholders and other teams to prevent problems before they arise. Be on-call for production emergencies and troubleshooting.
  • Provide expert-level skills using resource management and observability platforms as well as cost management tools and understand the requirements and architectural needs of such platforms. Additionally, work with engineering teams to identify resources that are candidates for performance and/or cost optimization.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on setting up and using new or existing enterprise tools that require infrastructure and establish a full lifecycle management for the infrastructure.
  • Define, develop, and document new approaches for maintaining infrastructure in scalable and efficient ways. Identify and create implementation plans for maintenance initiatives to ensure all technology platforms are current.
  • Stay current with latest system administration tools, infrastructure platforms, patterns, and methodologies applicable to the platform engineering space. Coach peers and other stakeholders by documenting and sharing knowledge and clearly articulating ideas and results.
  • You'll Bring These Qualifications:
