Job description

Requirements:

  • Assemble quality electrical panels and complete machine wiring using provided prints.
  • Able to understand general electrical practices that provide safe, dependable equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and assist engineering in problems that may arise during build.
  • Wire machinery to electrical panel while using correct components.
  • Able to modify prints accurately to ensure safety.
  • Able to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Self-motivated and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work with metric and standard prints. Exercises considerable care of equipment, tools, parts, machines, and materials to prevent damage.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Able to read and understand electrical schematics.
  • Able to understand electrical circuitry and safe practices.
  • Must provide own tools including standard electrician tools, meters etc...

Other duties as assigned Education Requirements:

A machine tool electrician is responsible for the electrical wiring of machine tools. These include lathes, milling machines, and pneumatic devices. Your primary job duties involve designing electrical layouts, assembling electrical components, and installing control panels. You also perform maintenance and repairs on these systems. This career requires expertise with electrical layouts and machine tool wiring. Additional qualifications include strong mechanical skills, the ability to read blueprints, and experience using basic hand tools.
