Professional Listeners may work independently or through listening services.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a professional listener?

To excel as a Professional Listener, one needs exceptional active listening abilities, strong interpersonal communication skills, and often a background in counseling, psychology, or social work. Familiarity with case management databases, note-taking tools, and sometimes certification in mental health first aid or peer support training are commonly beneficial.
