Align is looking for an IT Service Desk Engineer. This person provides advanced technical support for workplace technologies, ensuring reliable and efficient IT operations at the site.

The role supports users, workplace technology environments, infrastructure touchpoints, and the full lifecycle of IT assets.

This role is part of Digital Workplace Technology & Operations (DWT&O), delivering IT Services in partnership with the Global Operations Center (GOC). Together, Site IT and GOC form the Unified Global Service Desk model within DWTech&Ops.

In this role, you will... 


End-User Support:
  • Provide onsite and remote support for daily incidents and IT service requests.
  • Resolve complex incidents and service requests requiring onsite or remote support.
  • Support onboarding, device setup, application configuration, identity troubleshooting, MFA, and access-related issues.
  • Support troubleshooting across Windows/macOS, O365, Teams/Zoom, AV, and workplace technologies. 
  • Maintain professional, customer-centered communication.
  • Support executive-level technology needs and visits.
  • Assist with infrastructure tasks and ensure site technology readiness.

Workplace Technology & AV:
  • Support AV systems, meeting, conference rooms and shared collaboration spaces.
  • Prepare and support executive meetings, town halls, and onsite events.

 

 

Asset Lifecycle & Inventory:
  • Lead the full asset lifecycle for the site, including procurement coordination, deployment standards, relocations, decommissioning, and inventory governance.
  • Ensure accurate documentation in asset management systems.
  • Support remarketing and recycling initiatives.

Infrastructure & Site Support

  • Conduct server room inspections, vendor escorting, environmental monitoring, and device checks.
  • Escort vendors and assist senior engineers with cabling, hardware placement, or equipment handling.
  • Support network and infra related troubleshooting (cabling, mounting, patching, wifi issues, on site troubleshooting).

Continuous Improvement

  • Improve SOPs, workflows, documentation, and knowledge base content.
  • Participate in global initiatives driven by DWTech&Ops (automation, catalog improvements, compliance, operational excellence)).
  • Maintain Knowledge Base relevance and accuracy.
  • Identify recurring issues and propose long-term fixes.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with GOC and global engineering teams on major issues or initiatives.
  • Partner with Facilities, HR, Security, and local teams to support site operations.
  • Support facilities moves, expansions, or site renovations.
  • Participate in global DWT&O initiatives and projects.
In this role, you'll need ... 

 

Qualifications:
  • Good troubleshooting skills in Windows, macOS, Office 365, Teams, and workplace applications.
  • Good understanding of identity platforms (Active Directory, Cloud, Intune etc).
  • Good understading networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN).
  • Good familiarity with Windows and macOS environments.
  • Strong communication, customer service skills and willingness to learn. 
  • Ability to independently manage day-to-day workload.
  • Good AV/meeting room technology understanding.

Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years in IT support or site engineering. 
  • Experience with enterprise IT systems preferred.

Skills / Competencies

  • Advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
  • Task prioritization in dynamic environments.
  • Clear communication, teamwork and professional level interactions with all levels of the organization

Familiarity with following would be considered a plus:
  • ITIL Foundation
  • Microsoft certification
  • Apple certification
  • CompTIA Certification
  • AV systems certification (Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms)
  • Security principles and best practices

Language skills required:
  • English, Korean

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

 

        Ability to lift up to 20 kg.
  • Onsite presence required, occasional travel.
  • Occasional after-hours support (events, moves, upgrades).
  • Fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 

Work schedule:
  • Monday - Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm (local time)
  • Overtime work might be required.
