Job description

UNPAID Internship

The Division of Teen and Adult Services is a multidisciplinary team of nurses, counselors, substance abuse professionals, case managers, and an Advanced Practice Nurse. Services in this division include: STI testing and treatment for persons 12 years old and older; supportive services for persons living with HIV; HIV testing; Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) provision for HIV Prevention; reproductive health options; tuberculosis (TB) testing and treatment; Hepatitis C testing and referral for care; and harm reduction and overdose prevention supplies for persons who inject drugs.

This intern position will work directly with the HIV Prevention Program. Duties include: attending outreach events, creating messaging around STI prevention, PrEP and safer sex practices, completing a small research project aimed at improving services and other duties as assigned.

Schedules are flexible but will primarily fall Monday- Friday 8am-5pm with a minimum of 15 hours per week expected.
