Job description

Step into a Day as Our Dimensional Quality Inspector

Morning starts on the production floor in College Park, GA—minutes from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport—where you’ll review the first article off the fiber laser, check a formed bracket from the CNC press brake, and verify weld quality from both manual and robotic welding cells. By mid-day, you’re partnering with Production, Engineering, and Management to resolve a customer concern, documenting findings, and shaping a corrective action. You wrap up by final-inspecting assemblies, updating quality records, and noting a small process improvement that will save time on tomorrow’s run.

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections on parts and assemblies
  • Interpret blueprints and customer drawings to verify requirements
  • Use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and height gauges to measure critical features
  • Check dimensions, weld integrity, and overall workmanship
  • Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation
  • Assist with customer quality concerns and implement/track corrective actions
  • Support PPAP, FAI, and other customer documentation as needed
  • Identify opportunities for quality and process improvements
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area
Qualifications
  • Manufacturing background preferred; sheet metal and/or structural fabrication experience a plus
  • Ability to read blueprints/engineering drawings
  • Basic computer proficiency for documentation and record keeping
  • Clear communication, strong organization, and keen attention to detail
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
  • Confident using common measuring tools—measurement skills will be evaluated during the interview

  • Quality inspection in fabrication environments
  • Welding or fabrication exposure
  • ISO 9001 environments and ISO 9001 Certification Experience
  • First Article Inspection (FAI)
