Job description

Our client is seeking a Quality Inspector to verify product conformity through receiving, first-piece, in-process, first-article, lot, and final inspections.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform dimensional, visual, and functional inspections
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, work orders, and customer requirements
  • Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports
  • Develop inspection plans and reports
  • Review certifications and manufacturing documentation
  • Maintain traceability for materials and special processes
  • Review certificates of conformance and process certifications
  • Support source inspections, customer witness inspections, and audits
  • Investigate nonconforming material and quality escapes
  • Support 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, and CAPA activities
  • Support complaint investigations and RMAs
  • Use calipers, micrometers, height gages, bore gages, indicators, optical comparators, thread gages, pin gages, and surface plates
  • Maintain ERP and quality-system records
  • Support calibration activities

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three to five years of quality-inspection experience
  • At least three years of bench and dimensional inspection experience
  • Blueprint-reading and GD&T knowledge
  • AS9102 First Article Inspection experience
  • Precision measurement equipment experience
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook proficiency

Preferred Qualifications
  • Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience
  • Associate degree
  • ASQ CQI certification
  • CMM and ERP experience
  • Experience supporting an AS9100-certified organization

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Visual acuity sufficient for detailed inspection work

Compensation
$25.00-$35.00 per hour.
Work Authorization
Applicants must qualify as U.S. Persons under applicable ITAR and EAR requirements.
