HDR is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services team in Atlanta. The Electrical Engineer will be an integral part of our team with an opportunity to work with talented staff within a great office environment, and to be a part of one of the fastest growing and most critical segments of HDR. 

This individual will be expected to peform innovative designs of building-related electrical systems over a variety of markets including Datacenters, Education, Science and Technology, Healthcare, Water/Wastewater, Municipal, Industrial, and Federal. They will coordinate and work closely with a multidiscipline design team throughout the entire project's life cycle from planning stages, through the development of construction documents, and construction administration. They will work closely with senior electrical engineers, EITs and designers, and will be responsible for supporting the development of drawings, specifications, and related engineering calculations, as well as field inspection, resolution of RFIs, and review of shop drawings during construction. They should be self-motivated and possess strong leadership skills with a passion to deliver creative, technically excellent electrical design solutions. Occasional travel may be required.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
  • Previous experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)
  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
  • Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
