What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)As an Instructor, you will act as a driving force on our learning center floor, directly shaping student outcomes through an intentional mix of technical competence and advanced coaching skills:
  • Deliver Individualized Instruction: Teach math using the Mathnasium Method within an optimized, collaborative group setting, ensuring students build true conceptual mastery.
  • Engage and Motivate: Cultivate a vibrant, fun, and supportive atmosphere that eliminates math anxiety and makes students love coming to the center.
  • Track & Assess Progress: Actively monitor student engagement and learning outcomes during sessions, precisely recording data inside our center management platforms.
  • Master Educational Tech: Seamlessly utilize digital learning systems, touchscreens, and instructional databases to deliver an efficient, interactive learning experience.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements)We seek professionals who couple sharp analytical minds with a dynamic ability to communicate and inspire children of all ages:
  • High Emotional Intelligence (EQ) & Energy: A genuine love for working around children and a proactive ability to make complex ideas feel exciting.
  • Strong Math Competency: Deep confidence in mathematics through at least Algebra I and Geometry (Advanced Algebra, Pre-Calculus, or Calculus proficiency is a strong advantage).
  • Coachable Attitude: An eagerness to learn, absorb feedback, and continuously refine your instructional delivery.
  • Local Educational Alignment (Plus): Experience working with or within the local public, private and charter networks, or local youth programs is highly preferred. High school students are encouraged to apply.

*As part of our professional selection process, all prospective candidates are required to complete a diagnostic math literacy test to validate proficiency.

Compensation: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Mathnasium locations are independently owned and operated by franchisees of Mathnasium Center Licensing, LLC ("Mathnasium"). Franchisees are independent business people and not employed by Mathnasium. Thus, each franchisee and each franchisee center is unique and the franchisee is alone responsible for all employment matters in their center. If you are hired to work at a center, the franchisee will be your employer, not Mathnasium.
